My Dog's Blog

This is my dog Suzy's blog. Sometimes she just has the strangest things to say, like the time she rescused a pigeon, or thought she was the one who called the fire department about the burning car in the street.

Finally, a bath

Hey gang, it's me, Suzy, the fabulous Border Collie once again here to
tell you about my life. Actually my life has been a bit irritating yesterday.
It seems I've developed an allergy and Kim can't tell if it's to grass or
weeds in the yard or worse yet FLEAS!!! Will someone get me some
Frontline or even Advantage now please? Thank you.

Anyways, I've been itching like crazy and the back of my thighs are
mighty tender from my trying to take care of the itch myself. Finally
yesterday Kim gave me a bath with my lovely bottle of oatmeal
shampoo. Now my hair and skin are clean and my coat is glossy
black with bright white spots....but I still itch!

Suzy, I'm a cairn terrier named Boswell and I itch too. Oatmeal baths (I hate baths) help a little, but then I start itching all over again. My brother Merritt lives with Susan's mom, and she's swearing by a vinegar mixture that supposedly helped his itch. Guess Susan will try it this weekend. But I'm not thrilled about it because it means another bath. Bummer.

Boswell,
You are going to smell like a salad! I hope you don't have any pet rabbits living in your house!
I have found positive reinforcement taught Kim how to give me a nice doggie massage while I get my bath which almost makes it worth it.
She also bought me some special soap at PetCo that has antiseptic in it and that helps a lot. Then she puts cortisone ointment on me but of course I had to do a lot of licking to clean that off. That stuff tastes nasty. Why can't they make it peanut butter flavored?

Well, I hope Mom doesn't see this so she doesn't look for soap or ointment. The only thing I like to see her bring home from the store are Beggin' Strips and pig ears and dog food. Oh, and cheese. I like it when she brings home cheese.
